In order to support voluntary, community and faith groups in putting in place appropriate safeguarding standards for the children in their organisations the DSCB has developed a self- audit tool. Any organisation can complete the tool to help them recognise risk and put in place safeguards. By doing this you are demonstrating that safeguarding children is a high priority for your organisation and children and parents will be more assured that their children are safe whilst in your care.
If you complete the tool and submit it to the DSCB, trained staff within the DSCB Business Unit will check that you have appropriate safeguards in place or can support you to put them in place.
Once this work has been undertaken if you wish, we will place your name on the list below, which parents and children can then check to see what safeguards are in place.
